Information you send us

If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message. We do not sell them or add you to a mailing list.

The form sends your message to our inbox at [email protected]. We keep a message for as long as it is needed to answer you and to keep a record of corrections. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Saved recipes (local storage)

The "Save recipe" button keeps a list of the recipes you chose in your own browser, using a feature called localStorage. This list stays on your device. It is never sent to our servers, and we cannot see it.

• The stored data is a list of recipe identifiers, such as the recipe's web address name.
• The shopping list on the Saved page also remembers which items you ticked off, so your progress is still there when you come back.
• Our kitchen tools ("What can I cook?", the shopping list, the substitution finder and cook mode) run in your browser. The ingredients you pick, the servings you choose and your timers are not sent to us.
• It stays until you remove the recipe, clear this site's data in your browser, or use a private window that discards it on close.
• The list is only available in the browser and device where you saved it.

Analytics and advertising

At this time Lavin Food does not use analytics tools, advertising services or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will update this page before the change goes live and, where required, ask for your consent.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard technical logs (for example IP address, date and the page requested) for security and operation. We do not use these logs to identify individual readers.

Fonts and third-party content

The fonts used on this site are included with the site itself, so your browser does not contact a font provider when you read a page. Links to other sites are governed by those sites' own policies.

Children

Lavin Food is a general cooking site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete information about you. To make a request, write to [email protected].

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the last review at the top.
